Hako: Our commitment in terms of
sustainability and environmental protection

Everything we do has an impact on the environment and therefore on our future. This is why, with each and any of our activities, we focus on protecting the environment: from selecting the materials to sustainable development processes and the resource-saving production of our machines. Eco-friendly use is one of our top priorities when developing our machines, which means, for example, that we focus on developing efficient solutions with a long service life and low consumption of cleaning detergents. And our customers benefit from our machines’ superior economic efficiency.

Hako-AntiBac®

This fungus and bacteria-inhibiting feature for the solution and recovery tanks of scrubber-driers provides improved hygiene and reduces both odour development and costs, due to a lower consumption of disinfectants.

More than just “clean”

Hygiene – as well as the requirements associated with hygiene issues – are becoming more and more important, and this applies not only to particularly sensitive areas. As a result, the market shows an increasing interest in products equipped with antibacterial properties.

The solution and recovery tanks of cleaning machines can be optionally equipped with Hako-AntiBac®, our antibacterial tank coating providing significantly improved hygiene in the tank. This feature reduces both the development of unpleasant odours and costs for disinfectants used to clean the tank.

Benefits for contract cleaners

  • Improved workplace hygiene and protection of employees due to reduced contact with bacteria, fungus, spores, and unpleasant odours.
  • Hako-AntiBac® makes meeting hygiene requirements much easier, without any additional cleaning effort.

Improved environmental protection and reduced costs due to a lower consumption of disinfectants used to clean the tank.

Hako-AquaControl

Saves up to 50% of water when working with scrubber-driers: thanks to intelligent brush systems and an automatic water stop function when the machine stands still.

Hako-AquaControl at a glance

  • Automatic water stop function when the machine stands still.
  • Memory function stores the most recent settings.
  • Precise dosing at any time.
  • AquaStop® water retaining rings ensure that the cleaning solution is fully utilised and remains longer in places requiring intensive cleaning. This protects the environment and saves costs. TÜV-approved and certified.

Hako-AquaForce®

Chemical-free cleaning: with demineralised water that solves and removes dirt easier and reduces re-soiling without the need for expensive cleaning chemicals.

Innovation: chemical-free cleaning

Cleaning without chemicals means significantly reduced costs. Hako has taken on the idea of a cleaning technology that has been used in the field of glass and facade cleaning for years, and innovatively adopted it for floor cleaning purposes: cleaning with demineralised water. Superior cleaning results achieved in comprehensive tests as well as in practical applications speak for themselves.

Benefits for contract cleaners

  • Simple, stationary system: consisting of an ion exchange unit with a cartridge.
  • Space-saving: our Hako-AquaForce® system requires minimum space. Simply connect the system directly to any water supply – and it’s ready for use.
  • Consistent filling time: dock the water hose of our AquaForce® system to the cleaning machine and fill as usual.
  • Reduced working time: when used in combination with our automatic filling system, the operator can use the filling time to carry out other tasks.
  • Smooth operation: the automatic rota system ensures a consistently good water quality.

Environmental protection and reduced costs: no cleaning detergents are required at all.

Hako-LessChem

Saves cleaning detergents and protects the environment: Hako’s dosing and filling systems for scrubber-driers prevent incorrect dosing and guarantee reliably good cleaning results with only small amounts of chemicals.

Forget the idea that “little is good, more is better”!

Hako-LessChem means saving cleaning detergents. Hako’s tailor-made dosing and filling systems rule out incorrect dosing from the outset and guarantee reliably good cleaning results with only small amounts of cleaning chemicals. Using superior products such as our highly concentrated cleaning detergent Cleanol SE ECO, which has been awarded the European Environmental Label, additionally reduce your company’s environmental footprint.

Automatic dosing

Our automatic, wall-mounted dosing system works according to the Venturi principle: When opening the water tap, the cleaning chemicals are added to the water with negative pressure via a separate hose. The amount of chemicals supplied is defined by a measuring pin. The DVGW-compliant system is equipped with a non-return valve to prevent contaminated water from flowing back into the mains system.

Automatic filling

To provide automatic filling, the hose is connected to the scrubber-drier via a plug coupling. When the solution tank has been completely filled, a float switch stops the water supply. Instead of having to stay with the machine, the operator can use the filling time to carry out other tasks, which ensures a more efficient utilisation of staff capacities.

On-board dosing system

The on-board dosing system is equipped with a variable speed pump. The amount of cleaning detergents added to the system depends on the amount of water supplied. The concentration is infinitely adjustable and remains constant. This reliably prevents over- or under-dosing, even when the operator increases or reduces the amount of water supplied. This system can also be used with machines that are not equipped with a water pump.

FastFill

Hako’s FastFill filling system is particularly suited for applications requiring large amounts of water or jobs that leave little time for re-filling the tank. It consists of either a 150 or 300-litre tank and is very easy to handle. FastFill fills the tank at 120 litres/ minute. A dosing unit guarantees the correct mixing ratio of machine-suitable cleaning detergents.

Hako-Chemical on Demand

When working with scrubber-driers, Hako-Chemical on Demand ensures that cleaning chemicals are used only when absolutely necessary.

Innovation for superior cleaning results

Cleaning chemicals are used only when absolutely necessary. Lightly soiled floors can be cleaned efficiently and economically without the need for chemicals. To remove more stubborn dirt, Chemical on Demand can be activated at the push of a button. A few drops of cleaning detergent are sufficient to remove the soiling, and the cleaning process can be continued in a cost-saving and environment-protecting manner.

Hako-Reach

All of Hako’s cleaning detergents comply with both national regulations and the European Chemicals Regulation REACH.

Hako: Safety first!

The production and contents of our cleaning detergents are continuously monitored and reassessed to ensure that our cleaning detergents are not only particularly effective and economical in use, but also extremely safe.

Hako-PowerFilters

Our state-of-the-art Hako-PowerFilters ensure extremely low-dust sweeping and remove up to 99.5% of particles from the exhaust air.

Innovation for extremely low-dust sweeping

Up to 99.5% less particles in the exhaust air – thanks to our unique R2S filter technology, which is not only particularly effective but also very easy to maintain. Our outdoor cleaning machines are tested for their fine particulate emissions and certified according to EUnited-Test PM10.

Hako-CleanAir

Our initiative for fewer emissions at the work site!

Fewer emissions at the work site

This is provided, for example, by LPG liquid-fuelled drives with low CO2 emissions for indoor use, or catalysts, or particle filters for diesel-powered vehicles, or powerful electric drives and suitable battery technologies.

Hako-LowNoise

Hako offers clever features to ensure low-noise working in the field of Cleaning and Municipal Technology.

With Hako-LowNoise, noise doesn’t become a nuisance

.

Hako reduces burdensome noise by providing clever features such as Silent-Kit for indoor cleaning machines, or special equipment for our Citymasters, which allows working even late at night in sensitive areas outside the time restrictions imposed by the German Machine Noise Prevention Regulations.

Hako-BioOil

Our environmentally friendly and technically equivalent alternative to mineral-oil-based lubricants.

Hako-BioOil: the environmentally-friendly alternative.

Hako-BioOil, our high-performance lubricants made of renewable raw materials, are environmentally friendly, technically equivalent to mineral-oil-based lubricants, and have a high level of biodegradability.
